Design Ninja / About us

We build systems, not pages.

Design Ninja is a small, experienced team: we design, build and run web-based systems for small and medium-sized businesses that start from the way you work and stay extendable for years to come. One team is responsible for the design, the code and the server – there is nobody to pass the responsibility on to.

02 / Who we are and how we work

We understand the process first, and only then design the interface.

Most systems don’t fail because of the technology, but because they don’t reflect how the company really works. That is why every project starts with a joint assessment: who does what, in which order today, where data gets lost, what nobody wants to do by hand any more – and what you don’t actually need at all.

  • We think in systems: For us, the website, the webshop and the internal system are built on the same modular foundation – what is a brochure site today can become a client portal tomorrow, without starting over.
  • A technology decision is a business decision: We work with widely used, well-documented frameworks. You don’t depend on a single developer, and you don’t get stuck on an exotic platform.
  • One partner for the whole lifecycle: Design, development, web hosting, operations and further development from one team, also on a fixed monthly fee – and on an SME-sized budget.
Planning the client process and the digital system together

What we build – and what we deliberately don’t.

  • Corporate websites and portals: custom design, your own content management, search-friendly structure.
  • Custom webshops and B2B ordering interfaces: with stock, pricing and invoicing connections, and custom pricing.
  • Internal business management and record-keeping systems: in the browser, with permissions and reports – instead of Excel sheets.
  • Purpose-built applications, integration, AI-assisted processes: where the system takes real work off the team.
  • Hosting and operations: web hosting, monitoring, daily backup, security updates – for a fixed monthly fee.

What we don’t take on

A template site “in two days”, a one-off handover without support, and development where the client has no time for the assessment. A system is only good if it is built on how you work – and that takes your time as well. And we don’t build more than you need: if an off-the-shelf solution is better for you, we will say so.

What can you expect from working together?

  1. 01

    Assessment and planning

A joint meeting, a process map, then an agreed plan with priorities and a schedule. This is where we decide what goes into the first working version – and what can wait.

  2. 02

    System design and branding

Data, modular structure, interface – so that the system stays extendable later. We write down every decision so it is still understandable years from now.

  3. 03

    Development and testing

Step-by-step development, with a working, tested result at each stage. Automated tests, code quality, security checks – not at the end, but along the way.

  4. 04

    Launch and further development

Rollout, training, measurement. After launch we run it, monitor it, and keep developing it based on real use.

What stays in one hand?

A small team of experienced people: whoever sits with you at the assessment designs the system and, for the most part, builds it too. Design, code and operations stay with the same team – there is no project-manager layer and no information lost between outsourced developers.

  1. 01

    System design and development

Structure, data model, back end and connecting your existing software. Whoever designs it also writes it – no handover halfway.

  2. 02

    Interface and user experience

Design system, responsive interfaces, accessibility. The interface is built on the actual workflow, not the other way round.

  3. 03

    Operations and security

Web hosting, monitoring, daily backup, updates. Even after launch, you don’t need to look for another provider.

Is there a process you would like a system to handle for you?

Describe it in three sentences – in our first conversation we will decide together whether there is something feasible in it. No obligation.
